Notice of Special Meeting, April 25th (Elevator Modernization Plan)

Notice of Special Meeting of the Members of Royal Park Condominium Apartments, INC.

TO ALL MEMBERS:

On April 25, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., in the Royal Park Condominium Apartments Clubhouse, at 122 Royal Park Drive, Oakland Park, Florida, A special member’s meeting will be held for the purpose of voting on a resolution to approve the elevator modernization plan proposed by the board of governors, and such other businesses as may lawfully be conducted.

Agenda: 

  1. Certifying Quorum – Call to order.
  2. Proof of notice of meeting.
  3. Reading and disposal of unapproved minutes.
  4. Consideration and vote upon resolution to approve the board’s proposed Elevator Modernization plan, to be funded by a loan, and lieu of a special assessment.
  5. Adjournment

Please note that a majority of all Association members (a “quorum”) must be present, in person or by proxy, at the meeting, in order for the business to be conducted. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you either attend or provide a limited proxy in order to conduct business at this meeting.

VOTING BY PROXY

If you are unable to attend the Special Meeting and wish to vote by proxy, please note the following:

  1. A proxy is for the purpose of appointing another person to vote for you as you specifically direct (except for non-substantive items) in case you are not able to attend the meeting. You must vote “YES” or “NO” for the Resolution for Approval of Proposed Elevator Modernization Plan. It must be signed by all owners of the unit or the one among them that they designed on a Voting Certificate.
  2.  The fully completed and executive proxy should be submitted to the association and must be received by the association prior to the scheduled time of the meeting. It can be hand delivered either by you or by you or by your proxy, or mail to the association’s office at 119 Royal park drive, #1A, Oakland Park, Florida 33309 or email to [email protected], or fax to the association at 954 – 731 – 4341. A proxy form is enclosed with this notice for your use.
  3.  If you appoint a proxy and later decide you will be able to attend the meeting in person you may withdraw your proxy when you register at the meeting.
  4.  A proxy may be revoked in writing or suspended by a latter proxy to another person it also may be assigned substituted by the person designated on the proxy to a 3rd person, if the person you designate as proxy decides that he or she will be unable to attend the meeting.

VOTING CERTIFICATE INSTRUCTIONS

Please also complete, execute and return a voting certificate to determine who the voting representative will be putting representative will be for your unit, if your unit is owned by more than one person (other than spouses) or an entity. Please note a voting certificate is not a proxy and may not be used as such. Only one of the owners of the unit owned jointly by more than one person or the appropriate representative of an entity that owns a unit may be named on a Voting Certificate, not a third party.
